SC TRIO Student Initiatives is an annual competition held in the Spring of each year that allow students from each program go head to head in various contests displaying their academic talents. The competition hosts Scholars’ Bowl, an event specifically for Upward Bound and Upward Bound Math Science Programs, Student Support Services Debate, and Academic Bowl and Hi-Fi Q, an event for Talent Search Programs. Winners of each event move on to Regionals where they compete against other teams in the same categories from the other eight states included in the SAEOPP region (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Tennessee).
